Meet GiaVonni Rié

Creative Director & Brand Strategist

Woman with dark skin and curly hair styled in dreadlocks decorated with shells and pencils, wearing glasses and a ring, posing indoors.

I was born and built in Brooklyn, and that's where this all begins. Honestly, it began even earlier than the work. I had a paintbrush in one hand and a business card in the other by the age of five, so the artist and the entrepreneur in me were never two separate people. They grew up together.

For fifteen years, design has been my language. Branding, marketing, advertising, product development, brand curation, experience design. I've worked commercially and I've built my own independent practice, and living on both sides taught me something most people only learn from one: how to make the work, and how to make it matter. Both made me sharper.

If I had to name my gift, it's translation. I take ideas and turn them into action, concepts into a visual identity that you can feel before you can explain it. That instinct came from living in New York, from the raw talent all around me, from the vulnerability artists carry when they put their work out, from the way all of it stitches itself into the fabric of the city. That diversity lives in everything I make, as a fine artist and as a designer, and more than anything, it taught me to observe and to listen before I ever design.

I take the time to really know my clients, to understand who they are, what they're reaching for, and why, because I'm not here to be just another designer. I'm here to be your creative partner. I walk alongside you on your business journey, and I'm the person you call when the next idea is brewing, even when it hits at two in the morning and you just need to think it out loud with someone who gets it.

My work reaches wherever people are building, whatever legacy they're trying to leave, whatever dreams they're trying to accomplish. I've helped small business owners and entrepreneurs bring products, packaging, and whole brands to market, and I hold a special place in my heart for Minority founders. It doesn't stop at businesses. I bring the same eye to experiences and events, whether you're throwing a gala or chasing bigger visions like real estate or commercial development, product launches, and beyond. However it takes shape, the throughline is the same: I'm here to be of service, and to make what you're building feel like it belongs to you and leaves a lasting impact with your customers.

I don't only build brands, I teach people how to understand them. I mentor designers, artists, and business owners on the fundamentals: what branding actually is, how tone of voice works, how aesthetic and style hold everything together, why consistency is really just integrity in another form. I don't want you to simply own a brand. I want you to understand it.

That's also why I never stop learning. Tools change, technology changes, and staying relevant is work that never ends, so I keep researching, keep sharpening, and bring everything I learn back to the table for the people I work with.

If any of this resonates with you, if you're building something that matters and you want a partner who will walk the journey with you and treat it like it matters, let's talk. Reach out. I'd love to hear what you're creating.
